IGEL is an exciting and innovative provider of an edge OS for cloud workspaces along with associated hardware. German-owned, with a majority investment from TA Associates made in 2021, it competes primarily with Dell Wyse and HP in the thin client computing space.
Scope
- An engagement now lasting over five years, we provide the UK press office function for IGEL which is delivered by two independent consultants collaborating together. IGEL benefits as they access experienced people running the day-to-day PR without the obvious agency overhead and process of junior staff education.
- Working with an international team based in the USA, UK and Germany, we have a broad role delivering all local activities: press release writing, case study development, article and blog drafting, advertorial placement, industry award entries, undertaking research driven projects, organisation of briefings for executives, attendance with media at an annual EUC conference and customer filming.
Results
- We generate coverage month in month out for IGEL in well-known enterprise IT online and print publications along with channel and vertical specific media.
- A key activity proposed and delivered are a series of filmed customer case studies called Talking Testimonials. About three minutes in length, they have a standard structure: introductory teaser, IT challenge, solution and benefit. We’ve now produced 16 having travelled to the USA, Canada, Holland, Ireland, Scotland along with targeting customers in England.
- The films are split across key industries IGEL is targeting and are ideal for sales staff use to assist in the sales process. They run on IGEL’s You Tube channel, website, at partner events and trade shows.
